UNPACKING THE TREASURE CHEST . . .

Collectors Archive can best be described as an online curiosity shop, featuring presidential, state and local political campaign memorabilia, vintage advertising and photography, TV, movie and sports memorabilia, breweriana, distilleriana and tobacciana, casino stuff, autographs, rare books, militaria, character toys, postcards, sheet music, theatrical playbills, posters, china, glass, textiles and ephemera.

CollectorsArchive.us is easy to use, with a simple shopping cart system for selecting items as you browse its many categories and subcategories. You may easily remove items from your cart if you change your mind or find that you are getting carried away. The whole order process is automated, but here is my personal telephone number if you need a real person to straighten something out or answer a question: 585-226-2236. Ask for Mark Evans. I'm the proprietor of this online shop. It's a one-man operation. Please click on the tab "ABOUT US" (above) for some background on me and on the subject of collecting.
SHIPPING:
  • FREE SHIPPING on any USA order of $25 or more.
  • A $4 flat rate shipping charge is applied to USA orders of less than $25.
  • I gladly ship anywhere on the planet. International buyers are encouraged and your actual shipping charge will be figured out manually.
  • I generally use the US Postal Service. Expedited shipping or delivery by other carriers may be arranged upon request.

POSTAL INSURANCE: Select the amount of postal insurance you would like by clicking on the link at the bottom of the category list. CollectorsArchive.us is not responsible for uninsured packages.
PAYMENT OPTIONS: I accept PayPal, personal checks and money orders. Sending cash [US currency] through the mail is discouraged, but I'll accept it at your risk if that's how you want to pay.
QUANTITIES: Much of my inventory consists of one-of-a-kind vintage items. However, there are some products that I have several, dozens or even hundreds in stock. If you can use more than one example of a product, simply add that quantity to your shopping cart. If it is available, it will appear in your cart.
AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEE: All items are unconditionally guaranteed to be original, genuine, authentic and from the period described. I do not deal in fakes or reproductions.
WHERE WE STAND:
My website is just getting started. Please bear with me as I work out the bugs and start to photograph and list a very large and diverse inventory. If you find some of your favorite categories to be empty, don't give up on me. Please bookmark the site and check in on me again. Listing the thousands of items that are piled up around here is going to take some time! Thank you for looking.

2007 SUMMARY

I have been so busy with work and family concerns that I have not been able to add much to my website inventory. I have continued to purchase new inventory but can't seem to find the time or arrange the workspace to get it listed and up for sale. Please keep checking back!

FEBRUARY 23-24, 2007: Look for me at the Political memorabilia show in West Palm Beach, Florida.

MARCH 2007: Join me at the Holiday Inn in Tysons Corners, McLean, Virginia for a great political show. Political luminaries from inside the beltway have been know to drop in!

On Collectors and Collecting

Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr. said it best:

"Historians owe more to collectors than we usually recognize. Collectors are men and women of purpose and passion. They fall in love with a person or category or theme. They pursue and accumulate books and papers and artifacts -- the memorabilia that symbolize and illuminate the objects of their affection. In doing so, they enrich the historical record and very often rescue evidence that might otherwise have vanished down the memory hole . . . Collections support, strengthen and amplify scholarship."

Thomas Jefferson, in an 1817 letter to John Adams:

"A morsel of genuine history is a thing so rare as to be always valuable."

COLLECTORS ARCHIVE is here to acquire, protect, organize and offer such morsels to the collecting community.
